We were blessed to have Gloria Gaither as our Keynote Speaker for Day of Renewal XIII on Oct. 6th, 2011.

Author of many books, lyricist of over 700 songs, a dozen musicals, and countless articles and other published works, Gloria Gaither is also known as a stateswoman in the field of Christian ministry. As an advocate of family preservation, living in the moment, and unadulterated discipleship, Gloria has touched the hearts of audiences everywhere with her simple yet profound message. In spite of her accomplishments and prominence, she is a down to earth person who lives out what she believes on a practical, day-to-day basis.

Gloria has been married to singer/songwriter Bill Gaither for close to 50 years. They are parents of three and grandparents of seven and live in the small town of Alexandria, Indiana. Gloria keeps a mind-boggling schedule that includes everything from directing videos, co-publishing the Homecoming Magazine, overseeing Gaither Family Resources of which she is the originator and owner, to babysitting grandchildren and entertaining houseguests.

The many books, lyrics and speeches she has written have come not from some spiritual guru or saint, but from Gloria’s struggle with her own insecurities, difficulties, and heavy work load which have helped to strengthen her faith. For Gloria nothing is more important than building a history around the things that are priceless, or, as she expresses it “Things that Last Forever.”
